About me
Since 2009 I have been working as a visual artist on projects and assignments. I also worked for years as a policy advisor and project leader in the social domain and later as an art and culture advisor. Since January 1, 2025, more time for art projects.
I make spatial work, installations and tapestries. I initially used paper and textiles at art school as practice material. However, I soon discovered the visual quality and the creative possibilities. I love to experiment with these materials and explore new possibilities.
For me, a good image is a combination of visual impressions such as the skin of the image, the materials used and the abstracted image. This in combination with collected information about a certain subject and/or a specific location makes the story for me.
The challenge I see for myself in the coming years is to continue to develop my work visually and substantively and to show it at suitable locations.
In addition, I am inspired by visiting museums and attending workshops, collaborating with fellow artists, listening to podcasts and reading about art. I am affiliated with the Arsis Artists' Society in Bergen op Zoom, the BOK Foundation and the Society for Artistic Research (SAR).
